About Gansevoort Peninsula
Gansevoort Peninsula is a 5.5-acre recreational space in Hudson River Park located between Gansevoort Street and Little West 12th Street, opposite the Whitney Museum of American Art. Visitors can enjoy lounging and strolling areas, a sandy shoreline beach with amenities, a boardwalk and pine grove, a large picnic area, an on-site dog park, and a salt marsh habitat. The southern edge features the public art installation “Day’s End” by David Hammons. Swimming is not permitted.

Separate areas for large and small dogs (under 23 pounds) plus a dedicated dog training area.

North-side salt marsh with native grasses and plantings, submerged reef balls and oyster gabions seeded with juvenile oysters for habitat and education.
